The Marching Band season is fast approaching, and in order to prepare for the schedule ahead of us, I have put together this packet of information that will help us prepare. I ask that you review the information and return the appropriate forms to Orange High School by mail or to the high school band room collection box. Your prompt attention to this information is needed and greatly appreciated.

Also included in this packet is a copy of the tentative Marching Band Schedule. One of the most important things that I stress to the students is responsibility to themselves AND to the team. Without each member present, we do not represent the Pioneers in a way befitting true performers and professionals. Please help me to instill this sense of PRIDE and commitment to the scheduled dates and times. Even with careful planning, conflicts may arise. In order to ensure your child's future participation, a parent note describing any scheduling concerns must be submitted as soon as possible.

I look forward to meeting the incoming Freshmanand new band members on Friday, May 28th and working with the band in sectionals beginning June 21st to prepare for the annual Orange Township July 4th parade and upcoming season.

Class of 2025 REMIND 101


REMIND 101 is a communication methoud used within the band program to communicate with members and their respective families about all things Marching Pioneers. This includes, rehearsal times, date changes, event changes, etc.

Emergency Medical Form


In the event of a medical emergency, the school alongside the Marching Band need to have record and consent to contact and provide appropriate medical assistance in the even it is needed. Please download the form below, fill it out, and provide it to Dr. Cox by May 28.

Volunteers Needed!


Help is always needed! We are looking for parent volunteers to help provide assistance in a variety of task over the course of this upcoming season. Please check the areas you might be able to contribute your skills for a successful season. If there is an area not mentioned below, please feel free to add it to the bottom of the form.

FINANICAL UNIFORMS
Individual Fundraiser Chair (variety of opportunities) Help Organize and distrubte summer unfirom and uniform accessories
Possible future Treasurer of OOHS POP Arts Help with full unfiorm fittings
Help with fundraisers I can sew and would help make minor repairs or alterations
Help with ads for the Friday Night Live program Help with color guard uniform fittings
I can help on Firday nights making sure uniforms are put away correctly
TRANSPORTATION / BAND TRIPS (Needs BCI/FBI background) BAND CAMP (Needs BCI/FBI background)
I would like to drive the band equipment truck I would like to be a chaperone at band camp for the entire week
I am willing to chaperone away football games and band performances I would like to be a chaperone at band camp for one or two evenings
I own a large vehicle and can help haul equipment if needed I can help with the band camp registration
I am a registered nure and would like to help at band camp
FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE
I would like to help organize the meals to feed the band (away games) I love tools and would like ot help build the set
I would like to help chaperone the band at home games I am willing to chaperone the band for one evening
I am willing to set up the water for the band at pre-game and half-time I am willing to sell tickets at the high school from 10am-1pm the week before the show
I am willing to cook hot-dogs and snacks for the band at half-time I am willing to sell merchandise before and after the show
I am willing to provide cookies for the visiting bands on Friday night I am willing to work the concession stand during the show
I can help make sure the band room is in order at the end of the night
COMMUNICATION

Performing Arts Overnight Volunteer Form


If you would like to be a overnight volunteer for the Marching Pioneers, you will need to complete a BCI/FBI check alongside REQUIRED online training. For more information regarding these checks click here

Marching Pioneer Band Uniform Accessories


All band members will need a summer uniform and ALL the accessories listed below that will accompany their school issued uniform. Please visit our store by clicking here to place your order. All orders must be made by May 31, to guarantee delivery prior to the July 4 parade. See below for ALL REQUIRED ITEMS Students will be issued a school owned uniform: shako, jacket, bibs, gauntlets, raincoat, and garment bag.
